Flowers: white (rarely pink) flower clusters made up of many tiny flower heads, each of which has 4-6 petals

Leaf: fernlike, narrow, aromatic, alternate

Habitat: dry, sunny areas; fields, roadsides

Edible?: Yes, the dried leaves can be steeped to make a tea.

Uses: Often used as a medicinal herb; yarrow contains chemicals that may affect blood pressure and possibly have anti-inflammatory effects.
